Savoury Herb & Garlic Snack Mix

I am SO excited to be sharing this Savoury Herb & Garlic Snack Mix with you today! As we are now only 2 days away from New Year’s Eve, I thought this super easy and SUPER delicious snack mix would be the perfect recipe to make for whatever your plans are this year.

We’re doing just a small gathering for taco night with our family and I know this Savoury Herb & Garlic Snack Mix will be making an appearance! We have made it over the holidays a few times now and its always the first one to disappear! Everyone LOVES it, and its crazy how simple it is to make.

The details…

We just got everything for this mix from Bulk Barn, but you can use whatever little snacky ingredients you like! We used and recommend: shreddies (the little shredded wheat squares), pretzels, cornnuts (we didn’t use any real nuts- they’re a bit heavy for this), corn chip strips, and sesame strips. Get creative! And I also have a sweet version coming up in the next few weeks, which is absolutely amazing as well.

This one is made with vegan butter, some spices and herbs, and nutritional yeast. You can leave out the nutritional yeast if you don’t have it, but it does add a great cheesy flavour that everyone loves, vegan or not!

This ingredients list features the snacks I used, but feel free to substitute any of them for what you have on hand!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1/2 cup shreddies
  • 1/2 cup cornnuts
  • 1/2 cup sesame strips
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter, melted
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine pretzels, shreddies, cornnuts and sesame strips.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, parsley, onion powder and garlic powder. Pour over snack mix, then sprinkle nutritional yeast overtop and toss to coat.
  4. Spread in an even layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway throughly until golden and fragrant.
  5. Let cool completely on the pan before adding to a serving bowl. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days (if you even have any left over!). Enjoy!
