As has been noted, you most certainly can feel free to make your own flavored hummus if you prefer homemade hummus. However the use of this store bought garlic hummus makes for an incredible holiday appetizer you don’t want to pass up.

How is cheesy vegan baked hummus prepared?

Firstly, you need the starting ingredient. As previously discussed, for this to be a five minute recipe you will need your favorite store bought hummus and vegan cheese shreds. I opted for roasted garlic hummus but any blend of flavor will elevate the dish. At any rate, whatever flavors you choose to put in the baking dish it is sure to be the most addictive Christmas appetizer you make all holiday season.

Next, we simply need to incorporate all of the savory ingredients into an oven safe bowl or dish. Pile the hummus in with a mountain of plant-based cheese. I Recommend topping the dish with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, paprika, fresh or dried basil and parsley. Alternatively, you can also mix in some red onions, black pepper, spinach or other vegetables. I personally have tried chopped cherry tomatoes and bell peppers hummus to elevate the dish.

comparatively If you choose to make your own hummus, simply blend all the vegan and gluten-free ingredients in a food processor before placing in the oven to bake.

How long do you bake cheesy baked Holiday hummus dip?

because this serving size isn’t huge, and the hummus is already made. A simple 3-5 minute broil in the oven is plenty of time to get that even layer of vegan cheese golden brown.
