Spooky Maple Rum Cocktail

Bringing you this spoooooky Maple Rum Cocktail just in time for the halloween festivities this weekend or next! Sweet crisp apple cider, spiced rum, a squeeze of lime and a dash of maple syrup. You could also make this to sip on while watching old cheesy halloween movies on a random weeknight this week. It’s the little things like that, that always stand out in my mind of what I love about this time of year.

What is it?

This cocktail is a delicious mix of pure maple syrup, local apple cider (the best!!), spied or dark rum (your choice) and lime juice. You can actually taste the maple in it, which I love! We used dry ice in the cocktails for this photoshoot to enhance the spookiness, and if you’re serving these for a party I recommend putting a punch bowl of water near by and dropping in some dry ice to have a similar effect. I wouldn’t recommend putting the ice in the cocktails if you’re drinking them or serving at a party, despite seeing a few recipes that do that on Pinterest. I don’t trust it haha! Dry ice can cause burns so read up on it and take care if you plan to use it.

I hope you enjoy this cocktail for all your spooky festivities this halloween! If you make it, be sure to take a photo and tag me on instagram @itslivb.

And if you’re looking for another spooky cocktail, check out last year’s version:
