This easy homemade recipe for a Starbucks-inspired Vegan Berries & Cream Pink Drink tastes like summer in a cup. Homemade strawberry syrup made with fresh strawberries, a splash of vanilla, nondairy milk and ice makes this the most refreshing drink you’ll have all week. I love homemade drinks because you can really control the sweetness and customize it exactly how you like. Don’t love strawberries? Try this with any fruit! Mango, blueberry, raspberry and peach would all be delicious!

I knew when saw those gorgeous pink drink photos floating around instagram I had to recreate it as a vegan version. And better yet, I wanted to use fresh strawberries to make it as fresh as can be! I used macadamia nut milk for this which added a unique flavour but feel free to use coconut, oat or soy. You can also make it even easier (and sweeter) and use vanilla syrup instead of using vanilla extract. However, I wanted this to taste super fresh and homemade and delicious for summer so I pulled out all the stops with the ingredients. But a pre-made vanilla syrup works just as well!
How to make this Vegan Berries & Cream Pink Drink:
- make the syrup: it is SO easy. Just blend strawberries, sugar and water until smooth and pourable.
- add to your cup with vanilla, nondairy milk and ice.
- top with fresh strawberries (none of those freeze dried weird chunks they have at starbucks)
and that’s it! It is so easy to make a delicious, summery drink right at home. Especially great with strawberries are in season and you’re looking for fun ways to use them!

Ingredients
Strawberry Syrup:
- 1/4 cup chopped strawberries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp water
For the drink:
- 1 1/2 cups ice
- 1 1/4 cups nondairy milk
- strawberry syrup
- splash of vanilla extract
- 1 strawberry, chopped, for topping
Instructions
- Blend strawberry syrup ingredients until smooth.
- Add to your serving cup with nondairy milk and vanilla extract. Add ice and top with strawberry pieces. Stir and enjoy!
