Stuffed?! That’s right! Just because you choose to eat a plant-based diet, doesn’t meat you can’t have a little fun with your vegan junk food! This Vegan JalapeƱo Popper Stuffed Burger is made by stuffing vegan cheese between two burger patties, avocado, and homemade burger sauce. All topped of course on a homemade vegan bun doused in garlic butter for an extra punch of plant-based flavour.

Why stuff the burger instead of topping it?
Great question! I wish there was something more romantic to it – like the burger infuses the cheesy jalapeƱo stuffing to maximize flavour, or the texture is changed at a higher heat within the smoldering burger patties that’s unlike any burger you’ve had before…
But honestly the truth is a lot more simple – it just looks really cool! Now, there might be truth to the above statements… I certainly like to think so. But for now until those claims are proven, it just makes for a really cool looking Vegan JalapeƱo Popper Stuffed Burger.
One benefit to it though is that having the burger stuffed with the cheesy flavour toppings does make for a slightly more neat burger! Of course, dousing it in burger sauce as I like to do completely makes that claim obsolete… BUT having the jalapeƱo and cheese toppings contained within the burger sure makes for a flavourful exciting burger!

How to make it:
Long answer – this Vegan JalapeƱo Popper Stuffed Burger is made with a dash of creativity, a pinch of adventure, and a healthy amount of fun in the kitchen by following these easy instructions!
Make sure you get the right bun and burger patties first and foremost. You want a bun thick and fluffy enough to contain this beast of a vegan burger and all its toppings without falling apart. That means homemade or bakery style buns only! Trust me, you’ll thank me later. Once that’s covered, make sure you get a burger patty that actually molds to the way you form it. For this, I used The Very Good Butchers Bangin’ Burgers for the best texture and taste around!
Next, its all about stuffing that burger! It’s quite simple actually. Simply flatten the burger slightly, indent the centre, stuff with the cheesy jalapeƱo topping and layer the second patty on top before molding all of the sides together. Once fried, get ready for the gooey cheesy cheese drip filled with flavour!
Lastly, assemble! Here’s where you can get creative on your own, but I like to start this Vegan JalapeƱo Popper Stuffed Burger by layering a good amount of avocado, the cheese stuffed vegan burger, burger sauce and my personal favourite burger topping – fried onions and jalapeƱo!
