Monte Cristo Sandwich

This monte cristo sandwich is all plant-based!





  1. Blend tofu, nondairy milk and sugar until smooth. Add to a shallow bowl.

  2. Each sandwich uses 3 pieces of bread. For each sandwich: add mayo to one side of two slices, and both sides of the third slice. The piece of bread with mayo on both sides goes in the middle of the sandwich, and the vegan ham and cheese go between the pieces of bread with mayo on the inside. The outside of the sandwich should have no mayo on it. Watch the video for tutorial!

  3. Heat a frying pan on medium heat and add a tbsp of butter.

  4. When its starting to sizzle, dip the outside of the sandwich in the batter, then place in the frying pan. Cook a few minutes per side, until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar (if desired) and enjoy!
