The perfect summer breakfast! Acai bowls are super popular in LA and I think I ate one every day while I was there visiting! The most common brand of frozen Acai that you can buy in stores is called Sambazon, which is what I use in this recipe. I love the way acai tastes with toppings like granola and almond butter!

Acai Bowl
Description
Acai bowls are most popular in tropical climates but thanks to frozen acai puree you can make your own at home!
Ingredients
Acai Smoothie:
- 1 banana
- 1/2 Sambazon frozen acai packet
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
Toppings:
- Nature’s Path hemp granola (my fav!)
- shredded coconut
- almond butter
- cacao nibs
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Top with your favourite toppings and devour immediately!
Notes
I have heard that Costco sells Sambazon but I just get it in the health food section of my grocery store.
