Giving you a simple yet super tasty Crisp Autumn Apple Ginger Cocktail today! A super simple base of apple cider, bourbon and spicy ginger beer, garnished with crisp green apple chunks and cinnamon sticks. Refreshing, yet warming and a bit spicy. Crisp, and a little sweet. So delicious!
Happy Monday everyone! I know its a bit odd to share a cocktail on a Monday but to be honest I am SO messed up time and date wise after our honeymoon. If you didn’t know, Greg and I went to London and Ireland for our honeymoon. We got back last Thursday night and still haven’t adjusted to the time here. We adjusted immediately to London time travelling further east, but I always find going backwards so much harder. Still struggling to sleep in past 5 am and I keep forgetting what day it is! It feels like Sunday to me for some reason but I am up and at em answering emails and working on all the things I had to leave in stand by when we left.
Our honeymoon was AMAAAZING and I will do a whole post on what we did and ate in London, Greystones and Dublin this week. Honestly, I planned to blog each day of our trip so I didn’t forget anything and could update in real time, but I ended up doing most of the documenting on Instagram. With packed days, SO MANY STEPS and no down time I basically couldn’t find a spare second. But don’t worry, I have an Instagram highlight with all the places we ate, as well as posts discussing what we did on the trip!
About this cocktail:
I LOVE fall cocktails. I always go for the spicy, cinnamon, gingery ones because I love feeling festive in every way possible. Also, we all know by now that I am a huge fan of bourbon, and it just goes perfectly in this drink! It’s super easy to whip together for friends and family, and I love how easy it is to make a big batch in a jug or punch bowl (the cinnamons ticks and apples make it so pretty) and then you are all set for a party.
Speaking of which, we’re having a halloween party this year!! I decided right after our wedding that I wasn’t ready for the fun party vibes to stop, so I immediately started planning a halloween party. I have a fun and spooky menu planned (will be sharing the recipes I’ll be making for it leading up to halloween so stay tuned!) but this cocktail is definitely going to be served. Its just SO yummy. The theme of the party is Dead Superhero, so everyone will be dressing as the dead or zombified version of their favourite superhero. I can’t wait!
