Not only do these vegan noodles only take 15 minutes to make, but they also taste extremely unique! By combining some ingredients you wouldn’t normally think work together, they hit your tastebuds for a truly unique vegan creamy garlic pasta!

Okay, so if you follow along our instagram you probably already know that this recipe was part of a challenge series me and my wife Liv did. That means this recipe wasn’t exactly conceived out of a pre-meditated nature! We each had to secretly bring one ingredient from the pantry that the other didn’t know of before revealing. That resulted in my bringing one of my all-time favourite things to use in my recipes – instant noodles (Mr. Noodles). I thought to myself, “This should make for a great pair-able ingredient”! Little did I know that Liv had other things in mind… On the reveal, she brought a small package of apple sauce to the table which made things interesting to say the least! But we are always up for a challenge in the kitchen, so here is what we came up with!

Here is how to make creamy vegan garlic noodles in just 15 minutes!

Like it states in the title, all you need are a few simple ingredients and 15 spare minutes. to get this vegan pasta recipe on the dinner table from start to finish follow these easy instructions.

Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Add the instant noodles to cook while you begin to prep the sauce! (careful not to overcook, they take only about 3 minutes for perfect noodle texture) If you plan to use regular pasta, zucchini noodles, gluten-free pasta or homemade pasta, simply follow the instructions on the box.

This sauce is packed with aromatic flavors and so easy to make! begin by adding to a bowl minced garlic, shredded or chopped fresh ginger, black pepper, tsp salt, chili flakes or red pepper flakes, almond butter, apple sauce and medium garlic sauce. Stir and set aside. Feel free to add a dash of oat milk, soy milk, almond milk or your favourite dairy-free milks for extra creaminess.

There is no need to microwave or simmer this sauce with the noodles in a pan or large skillet on the stovetop! This sauce is meant to be incorporated into the pasta as-is. stir together the ingredients for the sauce with the noodles  until coated fully. Feel free to add chives, sesame seeds, veggies such as broccoli, peas or fresh parsley for taste!

Ingredients

The Noodles

  • 1 package Instant noodles (Mr.Noodles)
  • 1 tbsp black or white sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion or chives

The Sauce

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp medium garlic sauce (I used VH brand)
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/2 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a medium pot to a boil and add the noodles. Cook according to package and remove from heat to strain. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, add all the sauce ingredients to a medium bowl. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the noodles to bowl of creamy garlic apple sauce and coat the noodles.
  4. Garnish with chives and sesame seeds before serving warm.

Notes

If you want to make more servings, simply double the recipe or more!

  1. What can I use in place of the garlic sauce you have listed? I don’t know of that brand. I know the recipe needs garlic and I LOVE garlic…
